Roy vs todays SMW division

    Not at SMW when his hands where still good.
    Did you see the sosa, brannon, pazienza and Tate fights?
    Roy was so good that when he was 80% people still think of him as prime.

    Roy’s best weight was SMW. That said, I do think he let up on respectful opponents…once they accepted the fact that they were taking a 120-107/8 type loss. Sosa was a rough and tumble guy who wasn’t going to sit back and be outboxed. Meanwhile, Brannon wasn’t on Roy’s level. Finally, I’m sure Pazienza’s loudmouth probably motivated Roy to turn “RJ” loose on him.

    FYI, I think Roy’s most merciful showing came against Reggie Johnson.

    Roy would whoop Canelo, Benvidez and everybody in today's crop of 168 pounders.
