I don't know Freddy. I'm a big RJJ fan but I don't think he could beat Hopkins at this point in his career.

Regardless of how Lacy made him look, RJJ DOES have a massive drop in his reflexes and speed. His legs are half of what they used to be and he hasn't learned to adapt yet mentally as a fighter. Hopkins is dirty enough and smart enough to get RJJ into a place his legs and his mind can't handle these days.

:rofl Where are getting this from? Just because no one thinks Roy can beat B-hop doesnt make him unbeatable.

How can you even remotely think that Roy of today can beat Hopkins of today...Just because he looked good against a D- fighter in Lacy doesnt exactly means he will have success against Hopkins...Hopkins unlike Lacy will make Jones pay for his mistakes...This isnt the 90's...Roy is not to his old form...Roy's legs have deminished and use to really on athletic abitlity to win most of his fights...As of today with Roy's athletic abilty damn near gone...B-hop has been fighting to his strenghts and he looking pretty good while doing it.

De plane boss! De plane! We're on fantasy island!
Roy will dress like a gay pirate, Roy will cherry pick opponents. Roy will overstate his accomplishments ("I won the Heavyweight Championship").
But Roy will not, under any circumstances fight Hopkins again. Roy won't even mention Benards name for fear it may invoke B-Hops appearance.
Even Jones knows he hasn't a snowballs chance to beat Hopkins. Roy will continue to fight the pitiful and the hopeless. At this point in his career, Roy perfers to model exotic outfits and perform sparring sessions on PPV. A real fight isn't on his agenda.

You still trying to spin this ****??? Just say you was mad and was talking out your ass. You been posting here long enough that you are due for a angry tirade. I'm sure we'll forgive you.

BUT NO WAY IN HELL ON ANY LEVEL DOES SANTOS COMPARE TO B-HOP.

the fact that many write roy off like if he's a bum proves that people on here really think that bhop will go unbeaten for another 10 years....

bhop is a lot older and isn't as active as roy jones jr at this stage in their careers....roy jones has fought 4 times within a year and a half and though he aint his old self, he still has enough left in him to beat bhop...bhop relies on dirty tactics and out-veteraning his opponents...he will not be able to do that against roy who relies on skills and skills only......

after his showboating against lacy, i say please make this fight happen.

    hopkins would kick his ass.

lacy was overrated against joe. injured his shoulder and became a much worse fighter. He is now shot and yet the TS uses him as a measuring stick, when it comes to fighting the elite, which hopkins is still apart of.

i guess thats the funny part of esb, enjoying other posters making a fool of themselves:yep

Dude, seriously...no one is calling Roy a bum...I cant speak for everybody but Roy is not his old self(meaning he's wayyyy past prime)....He's older now and many people realize that...Roy cant do what he use to...thats a fact...In his prime would be a different story...but Roy of today! Come on man!

The difference is B-hop has found a style due to his age while Roy is still relying on his athletic ability which has left him...Skill for skill...I think B-hop is better (the today's version)
