the fact that this thread is 7 pages long is exactly why this fight needs to happen. after jones' win, and in the aftermath of pavlik's destruction, a fight between hopkins and jones is about as intriguing as it's been since about 1999

Don't know about "smash", but Roy wouldn't get embarrassed, that's for damn sure.

where were bhops masterful superman skills against calzaghe, taylor and a weight drained tarver.....just cause he has won some, doesn't mean he did it with masterful skills.....

besides a sick pavlik, bhops has been looking shot and is just getting away with being a cheating veteran.....

RJJ is shot to ****, A peak RJJ whips ANY version of Bhops, but this version is shot, then again Hopkins is 44 should be considered shot himself, meaningless fight now that should've took place in 02 IMO.

I honestly think BOTH Jones and Hopkins are finished, the only difference being Hopkins had fights with much smaller guys in Wink & Pav to help hide it, BUT someone like Dawson would not only beat the tar out of Roy but Hopkins as well.

Thank you. B-Hop looked a hell of a lot better against Calzaghe than Roy did. Calzaghe toyed with Roy and made him look like a washed up old fighter desperate for a pay day. B-Hop on the other hand, had a close fight with Calzaghe.

I agree but H2H (as of today) I think Hopkins beats Roy...Dawson, would murder Roy and beat the breaks off of Hopkins:lol: I agree with on that part there lol.

Hopkins is on a whole different level to Roy at this point. He's dominating world class opposition, Roy is dominating post-Calzaghe Jeff Lacy.

    No contest. :verysad

IDK, I think Hopkins would have a pretty good chance against Dawson, I don't know if he'd win but I certainly don't think Dawson would "beat the breaks of Hopkins".

It was kinda an inside joke...I think Dawson would out work Hopkins...Dont get me wrong, if Hopkins hasnt slowed down a bit I would give him a better chance but he hasnt fought since he dismantled Pavlik...He would need a tune-up before he steps in there with Dawson...I think Dawson would beat Hopkins by 3 or 4 rounds (just my opinion)

Yeah, if anything I think Hopkins would put the breaks on Dawson.

But he'd still lose, and we'd all lose an hour of our lives.

I would have to see Jones do what he did to Lacy to say a Glen Johnson orf a Chad Dawson before I can even think he could pull it out against Hopkins ..
