The night of the Johnson fight was very painful.

    (Probably for Roy, too) kiddin'

I still thought he was going to be back to his old self.

The one fight that he's had that Joe should worry a little about was Tarver 3.

In that fight, it seemed his problems were more mental than physical.

He yurned on the old Roy in round five and startled Tarver.

I came alive, but it didn't last and he retreated back to a psychologically damaged defensive mode to finish out the fight.

Roy will get his Glass Jaw shattered just like he did in the Glen Johnson fight.

No were just looking at the obvious. Roy Jones was a great fighter but he ain't no more. Your thinking with your emotions. Trainers do it all the time with there fighters, so it's understandable that you still have that hope. But the reality of it is, he would have to score a sensational stoppage like Robinson did over fulmer because if it goes the full 12 or even past 6 he can't keep up with Calzaghes pace or volume and this will be the first time in his career that he's fighting a guy faster than him now. That makes even worse for him.

Roy Jones career ended a few years ago when 1st Tarver then Glen Johnson brutally KOed Jones.

I disagree Cuch. Watch the end of round 5 of Tarver-Jones III, which was undoubtedly Jones's finest 3 minutes since the Ruiz fight - Jones is absolutely EXHAUSTED at the end of it, and it wasn't even a round fought at breakneck pace, esp when compared to Calzaghe's fighting pace. The problems are as physical as they are mental, every bit as much IMO.

Roy still has that speed & joe really dosnt punch so hard:-( that he can drop roy. Here is my thing roy is really up for this fight and joe is in for a surprise once he lands a good shot and Roy sees that he dosn't have that pop:admin . He is in trouble. Plus Joe lacks the foot work to give roy theese phantom angles that every 1 is talking about. He showed that if a guy can jab and pivot off that jab he can be hit often:bbb . I really think that will be the case. He also looks like he is gonna try & be slick this time around BAD IDEA:nono ! Joe needs to fight the way he knows he cant get cute with Roy if he does he will get caught. He aint that fast eaither! However i do respect ur opnion on the fight:cool: & will be thinking about all the boys from ESB while i'm watching the fight, and the NEW Ring Magazine Light Heavyweight Champion RoY Jones Jr!!!!:happy I'm Down with Roy until the END ;) win lose or draw same thing with My boy Cotto!!!
