He went to beat both Tarver and Ruiz, then lost twice to Tarver and defeated by Hopkins in the latter stages of his career. He is a man of his word...to a degree. He did not take 60/40 but was able to show he was not fearful of anyone.

Roy at his brilliant best as an interviewee.

Incredible contrast with the Roy of today who is not anywhere near as sharp and incisive with his words. Jones was outstanding against Woods too - one of his most underrated outings at 175 IMO. Too bad the fight with Dariusz and the Hopkins rematch didn't come off, as Roy's resume would be stronger and today's critics would have less to talk about. I believe Roy would have won both fights quite comfortably at any point before the Ruiz fight.
