...the irony was just sickening...I wish I had the video. There was a bit of awkward silence from the other two commentators...:-(
yeah, i can't believe the HBO commentators don't laugh when he says that ****. dude legitimately can't put sentences together well these days. P will is about 50 times fresher than he is as far as being shot goes.
to me, roy sounds just as good as he ever has and does a good job commentating. with his comments you just hope he's done fighting.
I agree its ironic, but I disagree that Roy has trouble putting sentenses toghether. Hes sharp and on point imo. He was excellent tonight imo.
Roy is an awesome commentator his analysis is based on his own experience as a fighter and he can relate to all the fighters. I thought it was hilarious when he stated that Paul NEEDED a different trainer LOL also I'm really starting to like Max Kellerman he speaks his mind both him and Roy Jones are great together and you can feel that Kellerman has great respect for Roy.
Yeah, he doesn't slur his words at all, he's completely lucid. I actually think guys like roy with fairly soft chins who get KO'd repeatedly are actually in less danger of getting demetia than guys that wade in there and take tons of punishment without folding like Gatti. Losing consciousness is the body's defense mechanism to help prevent brain injury.
Yeah I thought he did sound a silly as hell. He's telling Paul that he should retire and he's taking years off his life
"This fight is taking some years off Paul William's life" "I hope it is [Williams' last fight] because he is taking a real killing here tonight, I wish his corner would stop it before he gets knocked out, because its not safe for him, he's not about to win." "Some people like him become his worst nightmare to his own self because he won't stop." "Yeah, I'm very nervous because I feel bad for Williams because he's not gonna stop, he has that gameness about him that won't allow him to give up." "He's really a beat, battered fighter right here. Never wanna be in a situation like this, don't wanna see a fighter take this." :-(
I agree it was a bit crazy hearing Roy saying all those things when it is pretty much what everyone says about Roy. But I disagree about his speech he sounds sharp to me and is putting sentences together well. I really enjoy Roy as a commentator.
