Verón is pushing a jab out from a resting position just below or level with his own armpit, then sending an overhand right sailing in towards Shelestyuk's chin. Lots of creeping movement by Verón, shuffling his feet inch by inch, barely lifting them off the canvas but never ceasing to flit around, jabbing and tossing rights into the guard. Shelestyuk is cutting inside, slipping Verón's punches and knifing in quick right jab counters, scoring but not dazzling.

All of Verón's professional blemishes were suffered in calendar year 2019; in that self-contained period he fought to a split draw twice in a row versus countrymen, and then ventured into York Hall to lose via UD to Michael "The Problem" McKinson.

Incidentally, the Brit was a southpaw.

30-27 Shelestyuk, playing out pretty much exactly as you'd expect a match pitting a well-schooled medium-energy Ukrainian versus a good (by domestic standards) but not-ready-for-prime-time (nor ever apt to be ready for it, as in top shelf world stage competition) Argentinian.

 

Shelestyuk has opportunities to make Verón pay when he misses, but is content to just get off in bunches (mostly to Verón's body) without ever sitting down on anything, then reverting to defense.

Verón actually finding the mark a few times with his wide slash-and-burn attack while stalking forward - but still loses the fourth, close-yet-clear. 40-36 TOS.
