Brooks fight was always going to be a tune up. if you brought tickets expecting anything else your an idiot.

Callum Smith is only having his 10th pro fight.

not that logic matters when its just another boring lets bash Matchroom thread

It might be a tune-up but his opposition is pretty shocking for an apparently top five welterweight. Blowing this bum out in three rounds is hardly going to prepare him for a world title shot.

As for Callum Smith, he's clearly FAR too talented for this Georgian who should not even enter the same ring as him, for someone to go from blowing out the durable and solid Patrick Mendy to facing this chump is a poor decision. He should be looking at much better opposition.

Both fights are horribly one-sided and pointless, and yes it is a bash matchroom thread because no-one likes seeing one sided blowouts. Neither fighter will learn anything and the fans will be ripped off.

    But sure defend that matchmaking..:patsch

It's a keep busy fight as to not risk the title shot later in the year.

If you bought tickets for that show hoping Kell Brook was going into a tough fight then you're a ****in idiot.

To be fair to him he's admitted that.

Wembley is going to have less fights but better quality.

Embarrassing card although was this the card with Fielding vs Dodson and Smith vs Webb?. If so i suppose the pull outs have made it hard but the card looks dire....

BTW did anyone see the vid with Joe Gallagher supposedly moaning about Smith and others lack of fights (something like that). Supposedly vid got taken down rather quickly but wondered if anyone saw it?...

its a tune up fight it was always going to be an easy fight for Brook im not defending that im just stating the truth of the matter it was never billed as anything but an easy fight for him to get a few rounds in.

Smith is very talented that doesn't mean you throw him in at the deep end and see what happens they are taking there time seeing where he is at. no 9-0 prospect takes 50/50 fights. if prospects dont learn anything from beating low level fighters why do they all do it? Hatton did it Calzaghe did it Froch did it. they are learning all the time practising and applying what they learn in the gym.

as for people getting ripped of you buy a ticket because you want to nobody forces you to buy it. if people are worried about the quality of the cards they should wait and see what the final line up is.
