Ruben Olivares at Bantam Weight 1999-2002

    WAR, what makes you give Pac the best shot? His power?

    His speed also...and the fact I think he is naturally suited to move up in weight and Ruben less so.

    Ruben was a tough SOB but his shortcomings in the durability department could come out in this one...MAB wasnt short on toughness and heart in most of his fights, but Manny managed to crack his armour pretty decisively.

    I dont think I would pick Manny against the very best version of featherweight Ruben but Olivares was a little more patchy when he left bantam and I think Pac has the best tools to capitlise on that.

    Fair enough WAR, I agree with some of it. I just dont think Pacquiao is good enough at that point in his career to beat Olivares, I liek the pressure Olivares brings to keep Pac from using his fast feet and Olivares superior offence would trump Pac in a war IMO.
