I agree taht arguello hung with Olivares but i think Feather was a good weight for Arguello. He was a physical freak at the weight physically strong and KO power in either hand, didnt have the same boxing skills he had later but was more mobile and quicker on his feet than in his Lightweight days.

However at Super featherweight IMO Arguello combined the best of both parts - the more mobility of Feather and the technicality of the Lightweight version. Arguello at SFW was very very impressive although he went through a rea bad rough patch in losing to Fernandez and struggling with leon, didnt look right in them IMO.

Zarate might have had the height and ranch to be succesful moving up but Olivares was proven succesfully to be good at moving up.

Gomez all in all is the better fighter at 122. His speed and smooth boxing skills hsould see him win this with a late KO in a war. But Olivares causes trouble with his foot speed and getting inside to work the body.

Olivares was a heavy favorite to win that fight. He was supposed to be able to beat Arguello at that stage of Arguello's career, not merely "hang" with him.
