Offensive powerhouse vs Defensive sharp shooter. Does Olivares run through and knock out Lora? Or could Lora use his superior speed and defense to outbox and perhaps stop Olivares?

A match up with both of them at their best would have been very interesting.

With Olivares at his best, hard to pick Lora (who was very good, by the way) over him.

I mean, this is the best version of Olivares we're talking about.

I can't see Lora beating the Olivares who destroyed Rose and Rudkin.

    Hi Guys.
For me a peak Olivares would only get beat by a peak Jofre, maybe Zarate could land and cause Ruben problems, Ortiz was a great box/puncher, so he would be in contention, but the short haired, wide shouldered, gap toothed fighter of 69 was truly a fearsome proposition for any champ in BW history, sometimes I can't believe how lucky I was growing up with him and Napoles as champs, around the early 70s they took on near mythical status in my teenage mind, then I saw them very infrequently on a british sports show, Napoles with his squats before every round, M @ N on the shorts, the sloping shoulders of a true puncher, unhurried in execution, then like a snakes strike, came the left hook, followed by a cluster of hard accurate punches, that stunned and hurt, our own Terry Lawless was asked who his fighters should look at for guidance, " Napoles, I have never seen a finer fighter " nuff said.
stay safe fellow posters, chat soon.

Happy is one of my favorites but he is not likely to win this…the better question is could he be competitive…I’m not he could do that either

Prime Olivares would stop Lora in 5-7 rounds.
