Hi Buddy. As Ali once said " he has 2 chances, slim and none, and slim just left town " nuff said. stay safe buddy, chat soon. Mike.
If we’re talking about the version of Olivares who started to party more and had trouble making weight then Canizales has a decent shot. If it’s a prime Olivares who was on a path of destruction then he gets obliterated.
I’m going with olivares to win a decision. Canizales was tough and durable so I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt that he’d last the distance . Both of these guys could punch too. Probably a fun fight to watch .
Canizales had a style that made it very hard for him to fight for the full 3 minutes of every round. Either he would have to take breaks between spurts or entire rounds off. Because of this he was prone to lapses in concentration which you absolutely could not do against Olivares. Orlando had a hell of a chin though and was obviously super skilled. I think he could go the distance but he doesn't win.
I love Canizales I had it pointed out to me he’s like a little Joe Louis… I haven’t watched Olivares in so long I don’t even remember how he fights, just that he ripped the soul out of an Aussie icon and made a whole generation of guys in Melbourne hate him lol.
Regarding eye test I do like watching Canizales more his footwork and boxing was such a joy to watch but his opposition was very forgettable. And Olivares is an ATG so you'd have to favour Olivares here for being much more proven against better opposition.
