Ignorance of the law is not a valid offense. Ask a lawyer. Many black and hispanic kids are in prison today on the first offense.

 

Private prison. Jail is a business. They don't got money for rehab or college education but they got plenty of money to put young minorities in prison.

I guess the smart thing to do if you're a minority and you have children is buy stock in the private prisons so you can at least profit when your children or people you know get locked up. It can even fund your retirement when social security is cut away.

 

Why is it surprising? There are way more latinos set to be in the country. By 2030 latino will be the majority population period. At the same time whites and blacks have been in the USA a lot longer and are more connected.

There has not been a latino President even though latinos outnumber blacks statistically. Why?

 

I think a lot of people that go to jail have families. Guerrero is no different. Do we really know him? Is he really such a good guy? He has a good guy image, but who knows how he really is as a person. I don't wish jail on anyone, but we'll see what happens. An NFL player, Da'Quan Bowers did the same exact thing 2 weeks ago at LaGuardia Airport. The DA specifically said if Mr. Bowers thinks he's going to get off with a fine, probation, and community service, he's in for a rude awakening. Should've flown into Newark.
