Cerdan wins this, too busy and hard hitting with a good defense for Rubin to handle. Besides, Rubin had a habit of going into pedestrian mode when things weren`t going his way, although he would still try albeit halfheartedly to turn the tide unless he sensed he was on the verge of getting stopped at which point he would fight back like a caged tiger. Rubin had the power to hurt Cerdan mind you if he caught him, but I think the Frenchman would be aware of that and would fight accordingly and not leave himself open to get nailed like that.

    Cerdan by decision.

    Who do you pick?

Personally, I think Carter is a bit overrated. Cerdan is another class of fighter. I assume Cerdan would outpunch and outslick him and TKO him in the midrounds in a very exciting but also a bit onesided fight.

Cerdan is often underrated on this board. I think Carter has to blow him out early to win and I don't think he would.

Cerdan by decision or late knockout.

I like Cerdan ,Carter was a little overated due in part to his menacing physical apearance ,Cerdan was the real deal imo.The French man by dec.

I don't know that much about Marcel Cerdan. About a year ago, I started a thread that looked something like " tell me about Cerdan ", or to that similar effect.

His record is among one of the most impressive that I've seen on boxrec or ever read about. He was never Ko'd and beaten only 4 times in some 115 fights. Though he only fought in like two world title fights, he held a bunch of regional titles in Europe, and often traveled abroad to face good opponents..

I am not familiar enough with the careers of either Rubin Carter or Marcel Cerdan to choose a victor in this fantasy matchup, but it would certainly appear to the untrained eye, that Cerdan has a more impressive resume by a rather wide margin..
