While I Carter was a deadly puncher, and I think he could stop Paret, who, as we have established, often let himself get pounded unnecessarily, Paret was an excellent boxer, and Carter was easily outboxed. I think it's 50/ 50. Great fight either way. Carter by KO or Paret by MD.
Paret was the more talented and consistent fighter but Carter at his best was pretty tough to beat. Carter has an excellent win over George Benton who is one of the better fighters to not win a world title. Paret by UD.
