Williams is a good fighter for green at this point so we can see where he is. Black, i dont think williams is better than Codrington or Miranda (maybe better technically than Miranda) but he will push Allan Green to the limit. Williams was suppose to fight Pascal last june but pulled out because of an injury. It's too bad because i woul've liked to compare Green and Pascal.
Williams technicalability and speed are enough for him being a good fighter in the ring. From reports he is an excellent sparring partner, and from his style and attributes I can see why but in the ring he looks to timid and sometimes fragile. Nobody who considers themselves contender should be struggling with Echols at this stage. I dont think Green will struggle to much here.
HAHAHA Now that is funny! Go ask Rubin what happened down in Puerto Rico when he was sparring with Edison!
I'd have to favor Green but think this is a good step up from the last two guys Green blew out. It's not necessarily a give me bout.
Two guys I like mixing it up; I think Green has to be the favorite here, although I am hoping for a good show from Rubin, the Detroit guy.
green ko's williams...it's a good match-up and it's the best opponent by far for green since his loss/recovery from his illness. i still can't believe that andre ward's people were gonna sacrifice their prospect on hbo to allan green. what the hell were they thinking?
Dude, Williams is a very average fighter who managed to get a draw against an absolutely shot Echols in his last fight. I know Green is coming off a bad loss and medical problems but he seriously need to step it up a notch and fight someone rated in the top20 or something. He's never going to get a title shot if he doesn't fight rated opponents. The only rated guy he ever fought was Miranda and he lost bad. Please Allan Green, step it up NOW!
