Ah the 'that division is weak' argument. Hell, if you think it's not worth watching don't watch. If you think a boxer's not worth posting about, don't post. If you want to have a troll, well, at least give yourself some credibility.

Can you find some demonstrable way of proving that 140, 147 or 154 are objectively better divisions asides from citing their popularity? (there was actually a recent article on the competitiveness of the respective divisions but I ain't gonna help you out).

I can link you back to threads from both here and 'scene from mid 2013 where the consensus was that that MW was a solid division. What happened in between then and now to change things?

Instead of b#tching tho, why don't you just enjoy the fights?

Since Golovkin has been a Middleweight belt holder, do you know how many guys he fought who fought below middleweight in the fight they had immediately prior? One. Not exactly beating up on Jr Middleweight is it?

Yeah, people are reaching pretty far back with those claims, I think. Probably the Ouma bout sticks out? But that was the same Kassim Ouma who challenged Taylor for the lineal middleweight title ( and did okay ).

And that was over three years ago.

Then you have Rosado and Ishida who both had campaigned at 154lbs but Rosado was always middleweight-framed and Ishida currently fights at heavyweight.

Everybody else? Middles, just straight up middles. :conf

He might be out by the 7th but if he fights with his aggressive style he should win a rd or two before he gets laid out with a TKO

Rubio is a mad warrior :twisted:so I expect him to go down more than once in this fight but he will get up until he can't go on for sure bro:hey

It depends on Golovkin's demeanor, actually.

He might not go he bent for leather if Rubio stays in his chest. Golovkin might actually choose to box if Rubio can demand his respect.

I think you can add Garcia being in Rubio corner as a factor that makes him dangerous.

If GGG stops Rubio early, how impressed would you be?

He's already stepped up. He beat Stevens, Geale, and Macklin, all three of whom were top 10 contenders.

...and Rubio constitutes as big a step up than any of those if not bigger.

I rember a few years ago maybe even more, a lot people criticized Pavlik a lot for fighting this guy, calling him Him a bum that is past his prime, Pavlik make him look like a complete wash out bum in that fight, then a lot of people said that was a waste of time for Chavez Jr to fight him because He was past His prime. Now all of sudden is a very dangerous test and a great fight for the mega super destroyer monster killer Golovkin, I'm a fan of Golvkin, I love His style and can watch him fight every day if was possible, but man sometimes fans completely overrate a fighter to a true other dimension. Examples Lacy, Hatton, Khan, Bojado, Pavlik, at that time etc. Now if you are Russian and can punch you are monster.
