Pavlik's camp has repeatedly said Kelly will 'box a little more'. Even managed to work the word "yoga" into it. Kind of the motivation for my little verse. I'm thinking Kelly works on not going to war so much, uses more defense. Let's Rubio come forward and maybe works on clean punching, lowering his punch count some. All guess work of course.

Lowering punch count is not advised, becuase thats not Pav's style.. He generally dwarfs his opps with output, and while heavyhanded, is not a one punch guy..

He requires the style he has adapted IMO..wears a guy down, not too much unlike VK,, Not one punch power, but wears guys with heavy hands, and kos unsually

Slower pace was the only thing I could read into the "yoga". I don't see Pavlik contorting his body into new shapes and since this isn't MMA he won't be tying Rubio up like a pretzel either. I'll be there to see first hand though.:good

A slightly lower work rate may, or may not be a bad thing. Pavlik always has a stated goal of 100 punches per round. Sometimes he hits that. Normally it's more like 75-80. Now here's the catch. I remember Arguello saying years ago that he was never really concerned with how many punches he threw. He said he always tried to focus more on what kind of punches he threw, and where they landed. A good part of Arguello's power came from accuracy, timing, and excellence of execution. Kelly could use a bit of that philosophy. Throwing 60 punches and landing 50% is alway going to be better than throwing 80 and landing 30%.

I love boxing, but sometimes fans need to take a stand. PPV would sell much more if the price were around $25 or so, but in this economy........

I will not order it, but it is getting a lot of interest. I think it will pay off.
