I'm not the only one who thinks you're a moron. This based on your, "Pavlik gave a good performance" comment.
Rubio hardly ran much (for an example of running see Jennings), and it's not like he tried to survive by tying Pavlik up. He just stood there and ate shots, and then backed to the ropes and ate shots, and didn't even try to get off them.
He knocked him onto his stool at the end of the 9th and Rubio couldn't get up. Same thing as with Abraham/Marquez except Rubio has more power than Marquez.
He executed every part of his plan perfectly. He couldn't counter when the opening presented its self. And that part was there. The one worrying thing about tonights fight.
You left out the part where he made Rubio cry:yep And, you were right my man; Kelly boxed more, and from my vantage point, watching the ppv on a 60" high definition with surround sound, it looked like KP controled every minute of every round, except for the 6th. Got to give that round too Rubio. When you stand in front of your opponent with your guard down and smile at him while he tees off on ya, it's impressive, but you still lose the round:yep
I wish Pavlik would stop doing that ****. He gives his opponents chances when thay had nothing elso going.
We may have had a preview of Pavlik/Abraham tonight. Rubio has a decent high guard and was going to the ropes on purpose. His "secret weapon/plan" was to do what AA does. Rubio was actually rolling well with a lot of the punches and his backing up was diffusing the impact. He was laying on the ropes to counter. But this is where the "yoga" came in. Kelly stayed at range, picked his shots. There were times he was open to a counter, this will be more worrisom against Abraham, but Rubio couldn't pull the trigger most of the time and had a tendency to wind up on the right hand. Even the slighter height disadvantage Rubio had against Pavlik will be magnified with AA.
Well, we're both on a few threads, but I ask on another thread if you noticed how much time and effort KP put into beating up Rubio's guard?
More on how much he worked the body during that time. :deal You would think fights only consisted of body shots if you listened to the guy behind me. Rubio was trying to lull Pavlik in. Kelly's response? ommmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.............
It was Rubio, so we can't really make much out of it, but i was impressed by how KP controled the pace, maintained distance, and fought in a very measured, disciplined fashion. Even the crap he did in the 6th seemed to be head games by design.
