Tell us who, and tell us why

Bookies have Rubio at 4.50... Not as big an underdog as he was against Lemieux.

Seems like Roach fighters also get extremely generous odds regardless of the fight. DeMarco was 600 plus against Linares for example. Then there's Pacquiao against Marquez.

    So, who's backing who?

Chavez is not going to see the final bell. Rubio's going to **** him up. This guy's a really deal puncher that is going to go to town on the kid.

Looking at Chavezs last dozen opponents, he has literally fought no one that can punch. Not a single fighter.

    Careful matchmaking at its best...

    I see it as close.

Chavez by somewhat comfortable decision (or extra-wide "Mexican decision"), or Rubio by accumulation TKO after turning things around in the mid rounds with a big shot while trailing on the cards.

Those are the two likeliest scenarios IMO.

I really don't expect Jr. to stop Rubio, or to lose to him on points. Either outcome would shock me.

The odds are pretty good for Rubio; he's only lost once (Pavlik) in the last 5 years. The chances are though he'll need the knockout to win.

I know it's in San Antone, not Mexico proper - but you'd better believe that the judges will have been vetted carefully by Jose whether or not it's the Texas commission who technically assigns them. :deal
