The ruddock that rumbled with tyson v the witherspoon that beat Bruno down.? Ruddock in this one is facing the champion witherspoon. Can razor dish out the smash to his opponent or does Tim break down Ruddock?

On his best night I'd go with Tim Witherspoon. Trouble is, 1986 wasn't a year where he looked terribly impressive or showed up in shape for any of his fights. Sure he beat Tubbs for the WBA and stopped Frank Bruno, but he was overweight and fought uninspired for those fights. Bruno was even leading him at points. Tubbs fight was close. And then there was the loss to Smith ( which frankly I think Tim dropped in the tank. ) Still it might have been interesting.

Fat Boy Tim should win it.
I don't see Ruddock having as much success as Bruno.

That's the question, which spoon turns up,? If he comes in bloated, uninterested or over confident then razor could smash his through the guard of Tim and really hurt him. If the Larry holmes fight spoon turns up I see him beating razor to the punch and catching him with some meaty right s, stopping razor round about the tenth

Witherspoon could certainly punch. But most of his best opponents took him the distance, i.e. Tubbs, Page, Snipes, Smith, Williams, Ribalta, etc. Bruno got caught late in a fight that he was otherwise winning. While Ruddock could certainly be stopped I don't see him as being in anymore danger than a lot of the guys who survived against Spoon.

I think the tide turned a few rounds before the fight ended. WItherspoon took a fair few lumps but it was clear Bruno was ebbing as the fight went on. At a certain point it didn't look like Bruno could go the distance and it became clear 'spoon had been conserving his energy.
    It was scheduled for 15.

Sorry, so I did. Apologies. Was thinking of the spoon of Smith fight and kind of went off track. In that case early rounds ruddock slamming them in and keeping Tim on the back foot. Half way through witherspoon starts getting his jab, over hand right going. Roundabout 8th Tim catches razor and hurts him badly. Ruddock tries punching back but it's all witherspoon, on the ropes but eyes vacant the ref jumps in. Witherspoon wins rsc 8

I suppose anything is possible. Tim might take a decision or a late stoppage. But Ruddock for as much as he was overrated was actually pretty good in 1991 while Tim had some flat performances in 1986. Tossup I guess.

I think Tim would win but it would be quite tough.
Ruddock didn't do much else except launch big left hand uppercuts at Tyson. Not a bad punch to use against Tyson's style mind you.

I think Witherspoon's overhand right would be a dangerous punch that Ruddock could be subjected to. But still not sold one way or the other.

Witherspoon was a better boxer. He was often out of shape though.

At his best Witherspoon batters Ruddock and knocks him out late. Ruddock still wins some rounds.

Tim was pretty hard hitter and had numerous brutal KOs, even in his late 30's and early 40's (Gonzalez, Billups, Bostice, Darroll Wilson) . Ruddock also hit very hard.

So I'd go with better boxer which is Tim.
