I think the Lennox fight could’ve gone differently. To roughly quote Liston “He might get me out quickly or I might get him” he should’ve been a better fighter then he was, he showed us early on it was possible - but everyone could’ve been better then they were. He should be proud of himself, I hope he is.

 

That Ruddock does better against Foreman than did Lyle

 

Against a '76, rusty, less powerful Foreman who'd changed his style drastically and tried to box for a large majority of the bout.

 

He would also do better against Liston than Williams did TBH. Can't see Lyle or Williams hanging with Mike Tyson like Ruddock did.
