ruddock vs morrison stopped too soon???????

    do u think ruddock morrison was stopped too soon????????........if u havent seen the finish check out rd 6 on [url]www.youtube.com[/url] ........................................ i think it was stopped too soon.....your thoughts??????:smoke:smoke:smoke

    Yeah, I definitely think so. Ruddock has cause to feel screwed on that one IMO.

    Probably. Ruddock can partially blame it on himself because he could have done a lot more to hold on or defend better against Morrison's assault, but the ref should have seen how many of those punches were going off Ruddock's arms rather than doing damage. Unfortunately Ruddock didn't respond much after being hit by a tremendous shot that dropped him, and Morrison managed to sneak through that last straight blow that bounced his head around, and that was enough for the ref...

    The referee in this fight, Ron Lipton, posts on several boxing forums. In one of his posts he explained that when he looked into Ruddock's eyes after the knockdown, one of the pupils was hugely oversized and the other pupil was small. That very abnormal sign, coupled with Ruddock's weak legs, led Lipton to conclude that Ruddock was more damaged than ringsiders could see.

    When I first saw the fight, I thought it was stopped too soon. After reading what Lipton had to say, I came to agree that the stoppage was correct.
