Thats because Tyson brutalized him for 17 rounds. Tommy Morrison took him out in 6, does that make it more impressive too?

Ruddock was ****ing awesome, love watching his fights.

Love watching him annihilate Dokes with that left hand.

Much in the same respect that Mayweather beat a better version of Hatton, Tyson clearly beat a better version of Ruddock.

And its 19 rounds, not 17

There is no questioning Morrison's power. I wouldn't be surprised if a single Morrison punch is on par with Tyson's. Of course he lacks all the other aspects that Tyson has in spades. Ruddock nearly won that fight by the way, despite clearly having deteriorated compared to his form against Tyson/Lewis.

    Ruddock was a great fighter?:huh

Ruddock was another converted southpaw who relied way too much on his left hand. His right paw was generally not much of a factor in his arsenal / bag of tricks...

Ruddock was good to okay, but not close to greatness......

Morrisons left hook is harder than Tysons, even Ruddock said Tommy hits harder.

But anywho, Tyson is just greater overall.

Ruddocks trunks were way too high, at least one of the point deductions for low blows was bull****.

Aww cmon, you could tell he was sharp in one and half rounds against Lewis? He was clearly never going to recover from the beatings he took at the hands of Tyson in my opinion.

Awesomely entertaining bomb-exchanging fire-fight, Ruddock was damaged goods after the 2nd Tyson fight and that's a fact, he even admitted he wasn't the same fighter after those brutal wars.

So do I, the division was shaping up nicely until Tyson went to Indianapolis.

One hell of a fight, it has always been my favourite heavyweight fight.
Turn up the sound, it is actually rare you can hear punches land with the force being thrown here.....

Had Ruddock been prime today he would have reigned supreme, there aint no one of tysons and lewis caliber around today... And thats a fact!

People can say what they want about Mike Tyson but he was one tough MOFO. He basically banged it out with a guy who has 22lbs on him and hit like a sledgehammer.

Razor Ruddock, could of made this fight allot easier for himself...of he learnt how to throw more straight punches..and use his jab. He fought like a complete ****** at times..!

I don't think Razor Ruddock, was a great fighter. He was good, but not great...!!!!

Both Evander Holyfield and Lennox Lewis EVEN pre Oliver Mccall Lennox Lewis..would of beaten Mike Tyson that night.
