Ukrainian HW Andrei Rudenko (24-1) who has sparred many times vs Wlad, Povetkin, Fury, Ustinov and Chambers, compared their punching power:

    1) Wlad, by far. Nobody comes even close

    2) Ustinov. His punches are slow, but he hits very hard

    3) Povetkin. Hits hard enough, a bit harder than Fury

    4) Fury - his punches are hard enough, too

    5) Chambers - he's a light hitting HW, Rudenko said he didn't even feel Eddie's punches

    Where did he place Browne?

I'm guessing below Povetkin but above Fury? Slow but hard like Ustinov's?

Also, surprising he rates Ustinov above Povetkin.

He somehow didn't mention Browne, but he also mentioned in that interview that Fury is indeed a nice and polite guy

I think that Povetkin's punches are sharper for sure. Ustinov despite being heavy-handed often has problems with landing clean punches even when his opponent is hurt, unlike Povetkin

I suppose if you allow Ustinov to hit you, he would be more powerful than Povetkin, but obviously Povetkin is the infinitely better/more accurate/faster puncher

K2 pays his bills.......I doubt he'd rate Sasha over Ustinov for that reason.

As for why he doesnt rate Browne......it's gotta be b/c he believes he won that fight, and he's surely angling for a fight with his comments.

He definitely wants a fight with Fury, Browne or Chambers.

Me.....I'd like to see how he fares with a pressure/power HW like Fedosov.

IMO....Fedosov KOs him to the body. Same goes for Browne. :think

I am also suprised that he rates Ustinov's firepower higher than Povetkin's one.:?

    Bring on Fury vs. Ustinov.

Since GGG hits harder than Povetkin, and his punches are fast and accurate unlike Ustinov's, I think it's safe to assume he'd be ranked right below Wlad had he sparred with Rundenko too

Rudenko should be undefeated, he won that fight vs Browne.

Exactly. Ustinov has never seemed a spiteful puncher. He's just big. (then again, so was Valuev, and I'd expect anyone to say Ustinov punches harder than him...although h2h I'd pick Valuev to out-jab Ustinov to a boring UD12)

Povetkin isn't just the 2nd best active HW to my eyes, he is the clear 2nd hardest puncher after WK. :think

Yeah. I think Sasha's raw power is up there as well, though - especially relative to size. (ie, Povetkin is perhaps the harder puncher in "pound for pound" terms even though both are technically in the same weight class)

Certainly if you examine their mechanics there is no contest.

It was pretty close. I had it a draw. Rudenko certainly deserves a rematch, though.
