Uh, the OP was made by a chap named "Big Ukrainian". That checks out, for me.

Would anybody question you for a source if you announced SNV was making his long-awaited comeback??

I mean, they might, but they'd be exposing themselves as someone who DKSASNV. And that sounds too much like some kind of horrible, scatological niche porno culture in the seedier parts of West Berlin for anybody to want to be associated with.

    Duchsassunf! :hey :blurp :fart:viking:pukke:wtf

Really? I mean, if Tua were still technically knocking about, he would be an obvious choice. Then you have the "more power than you could ever want but...yeah, too much else wrong, nothing to see here crew" like Walker and...er, maybe Wilder. Then younger kids on the way up who may well prove to be huge punchers and seem to have the potential but just haven't gotten the ball rolling on proving that yet, like Joshua and to a lesser extent Parker. Even someone like Briggs, show me anyone he sparked in the last decade - you don't think Sasha would have, on average, knocked them all out in par time or better?

    Who do you think

punches harder, though? For me, it's just Wlad.

...and yeah, if you eliminate guys who are just one-trick ponies, don't have two-handed power or the ability to fire hard in combination (and with fast, accurate combinations at that) it definitely is nobody else.

Hell, even Wlad isn't really much of a combo guy. (though he does pack thunder in both fists, as Pulev recently learned and the rest of us were reminded after years of monotonous right cross lulling)

Povetkin seems to be punching with more power now than he did when he first started, particularly to the body.

I am scouring the net (Ukrainian boxing sites and Twitter, searching under "Андрій Руденко", which is his name transliterated) and the only recent news item turning up about him is that he served as Povetkin's chief sparring partner to prep for Takam - ironic, as he was Klitschko's sparring partner to prep for Povetkin last year. :think

People are in for a surprise who believe Wilder actually hits harder than Vlad.

Whether he does or doesn't, his gangly ass doesn't have a tenth of Wlad's h2h ability.

Despite having 32 bouts, remember, Wilder is very short on valuable pro experience (and remember, he didn't have much depth to his amateur career, despite obtaining an Olympic medal) - he's essentially a baby, as compared with Klitschko boasting twice as many pro bouts, a lengthy and successful amateur career that culminated in Olympic gold, and years of tutelage under Emanuel Steward as his closest pupil and passion-project since Hearns.

Deontay may very well hit a bit harder, but it doesn't matter. He can't beat everyone Wlad can beat and would almost certainly, barring a lucky ranged shot in the opening seconds, lose to Wlad. Both have immense power and both can be hurt but the gulf in skill and invaluable high-quality experience is unspeakable.

This actually doesn't surprise me....Fury has always come across to me (as a fellow manc) whos baiting and faux nastiness comes across as entirely fake.

Seriously, the guy's just a big dude with a traveller background and a willingness to put in a modicum of effort who's found an opportunity to make a chunk of money.

The fact that he's actually managed to make it into the world's HW top 10 is kinda damning.

  10. Wilder KO's Wlad and Vitaly.

I didn't even know you were British! Would have guessed Russian or Ukrainian.

So you think Fury is putting on a big act? I can somewhat buy that, as his in-ring singing and the like is a bit over-the-top camp, but some of his disrespectful remarks about opponents and other fellow boxers still rub one the wrong way...

Wlad, maybe, granted, though I would never bet on it. Vitali though - you're on drugs..

Why would you ever think such a thing...other than the whole naming himself after Stalin's revolutionary nom de guerre. He seems totally English to me.
