It would be a stretch to call his chin "weak" but it sure wasn't iron either - James "Bonecrusher" Smith. You want brutish facial features? Well have a look at that ugly mug on Smith. One can only imagine the fun Ali would have had in the build up to a fight with him.

Smith is a good one, but his chin was fairly solid wasn’t it? He took Bruno’s punches in his stride, and took a good number of Ruddock smashes before succumbing, and that was after his decent days.

    Jack O’Halloran.

Can’t say that I’ve seen much film of him but his record indicates that maybe his chin wasn’t all that - at least no quite as advertised - though a couple of losses were against known punchers Foreman and Lyle. Definitely fulfils the rugged/rough head part of the equation.

There was a Pro Wrestler who became a boxer and fought in the UFC called Tony Halme. He was from Finland and wasn't really a good pro fighter but was said to be an animal outside the ring and did have the look to match as he was about 6'3 and 300+ pounds. Wasn't the nicest of people either as was openly racist/homophobic with an SS tattoo too. He became a boxer based on a dare after watching the Larry Holmes/Oliver McCall fight and he was shouting in the crowd how they were garbage and he could knock them out, a promoter in the audience heard him and dared him to fight on one of his cards in a few weeks if he was so confident, he said yes and knocked the guy out in 1 round. This is how he looked in his younger years:

Anyway for all his looks and stories in the Pro game he ended with a 13-6 record getting knocked out five times by guys smaller than him. He also got beat in just over a minute by the debuting Randy Couture in UFC where he ran straight at Couture to punch him who ducked and took him down instantly LOL

Here he gets SLEPT by a smaller French guy with a left hook, doubt he appreciated the hug and kiss on the cheek at the end...

Fairly solid would be best case scenario. Certainly not glass.

Jeez Mike that was good call!
He had that old world ruggedly handsome, wrinkled square toothed smile look. A bit like M Walker, only without the chin.

Wlad Klitschko is known for being a bit chinny, he looks like cold steel.

What about the face? Maybe less rugged and more fiendish. Those eyes...

Tommy Morrison always looked to me like his chin should have been a little better than it was. I'm not saying it was glass, but it did seem suspect at times. He gassed out suddenly sometimes, so there's also that. I always thought if he had been blessed with Tex Cobb's chin and stamina he would have been nearly unbeatable.
