I can give a pass to Gassiev because of his arm injury, but Ruiz turning this down is disgraceful.

 

This is comical. What other sport does something even close to this occur?

Ruiz's career is over. He's been a world champ now and knows it will never happen again. He made a boatload of money with the AJ farces and didn't have the best work ethic even when he was relatively poor. The recent war with 40 year old, injury prone, 18 months inactive, coming off a loss journeyman Arreola wouldn't have done anything to help his confidence either. At this point he clearly doesn't benefit from getting his face punched in by Hrgovic for peanuts. He's done.

 

Gassiev is coming off an injury and just got back in the gym and ruiz has money to make against ortiz or parker

 

Just make Hrgovic the mandatory already.
