if hearn wanted to dictate the $$$ in this fight then he should have managed his guy better and not make him fight ''bums'' who go on to spank his sorry ass
Only wrong if Ruiz drops the belts like Sanders did after beating up Wlad. If Ruiz doesn't rematch AJ, what are his options?
All the mediocre fights he had before. More likely than not his next 10 fights will looks as pedestrian, sluggish and plodding as the 10 previous ones.
Pretty sure the clause states what he gets and it will be better than anyone else will be getting.. Bit of a worry tbh if he is actually making these demands because it sorta says he is trying to cash out in the rematch..
LMAO. Ruiz fights def better than Joshuas. More entertaining to watch a chubby mexican slugger who gives it a go instead of a robotic mechanical guy like Joshua who was wobbled several times by the first punch landed on him (Povetkin, Whyte, Ruiz...)... RUiz is legit champ and he will KTFO the robot again in a few months.
naah, he just wouldnt be able to fight for money without the rematch first, or with a new contract that allows him a defense in between. if they feel aj isnt ready, they can write up an agreement that andy gets to defend against another company fighter, so win or lose, aj still gets next crack at the belts. there are all sorts of deals that can be negotiated. right now, the 2 things of value on either side, is andy with the belts, and aj with the rematch contract. they can configure the new fight in a dozen different ways. i expect haymon to try and split up the belts best he can.
Yup very entertaining! So entertaining no one on the entire forum talked up Ruiz Jr before the AJ destruction. And now all of a sudden he has "fast hands", "was destined for greatness" and is "the future of the division". Hindsight-bias is very strong around here. Want a taster how 'amazing' and 'highly entertaining' Ruiz Jr actually fights? This content is protected
It’s 2019 bro, everyone cashes out in the sport now. I can’t see why he shouldn’t be cashing out either.
What does that have to do with my post? Youre talking what he should be able to do Im talking what hes going to be contractually obligated to do.
He gets in the ring with Wilder or Fury and he gets an insta-lawsuit with an automatic judgement to forward his entire purse to Hearn. Sure, he can do that. Smart though? Nope.
