Ruiz Couldn't have found a better name?

he will fight anyone..cant say that for some of the fighters today.

 

Just watch, Ruiz will knock this bum out, and then there will be people claiming this talentless slug is actually a threat to decent fighters. Not unless he cheats - which is how he "won" most of his fights.

 

Hate on Ruiz's style all you want, but anyone who questions whether he will and has fought any and everyone, is either biased or uneducated. Sorry.

Holyfield x3, Tua, Jones, Rahman, Golota, Toney, Valuev x2, Chagaev...plus other fights against tough lesser fighters like Mccline, Tucker, Thunder, Johnson, Oquendo, etc...

Name 3 other HWs with that kind of resume...win or lose, the man has fought everyone. And I am not a fan either...not in any sense of the word.

 

THANk you.... haters of RUIZ just do a "disservice" to this sport... you don't have to be a fan, or even not stand his style, but the guy has guts and he's demonstrated it over and over again.... BTW, the guy is never bashing anybody or talking ****... he deserves his chance just as, if not more than, most others in this sport, especially in that division!

 

I thought the title of this thread was referring to Ruiz picking a stupid name like "the quiet man" to rep as a nickname.


Ruiz has fought excellent opposition. Can't question his heart and courage.

When all you do is lunge and hug your way through 12 rounds, you're not really fighting the best opposition, you're just being there in the ring with them and getting a pay cheque.

Guy fights like a talentless *****. End of story.

 

What a load of crap. RUIZ is the one who does a disservice to this sport, with his blatant cheating - the excessive holding in virtually every fight, the shameful faking of "low blows" in others - to say nothing of how King got him undeserved rankings, favorable treatment for his illegal tactics, and multiple title shots he didn't merit.

Ruiz is the poster-boy for boxing corruption. He cheated his opponents of their opportunity to win WITHING the rules, and he cheated the fans of the legitimate boxing matches they paid to see! I can't think of MORE of a "disservice" to the sport.

speaking of wlad... there is good reason Don King never let Ruiz anywhere near Wlad, Vitali or Lewis.

After Lewis retired, did they do a tournament to determine the new champion? **** no King kept his boys locked up. Let them fight golota and make sure the judges know kings guys are supposed to win.
