Ruiz struggled to deal with shopworn Ortiz who was tagging him and putting a hurting on him. If Wilder gets to him he'll end up like Helenus.
It's amazing that in 2023, there are still people who think others duck Fury Who did Joshua duck in his career? He and Eddie Hearn chased Fury to fight him for years. He chased Wilder as well to fight for years. They made the back-to-back Usyk fights easily. Who did Usyk duck in his career? He made fight after fight with no problems, always travelling to the other guy's backyard. And yet, Fury apologists like yourself claim it was not Fury who ducked these two. Do you honestly not see the common denominator in all those Usyk-Fury and Joshua-Fury negotiations falling through all through the years?
The main reason Fury/Aj hasn't happened was due to the Wilder fights and Arbitration that was ruled in his favor. If anything you're a revisionist Thinking that Fury never ducked aj doesn't make me some Fury apologist. This thread isn't even about Fury Why bring him up ?
Wilder says he asked for too much money. Ruiz says no offer was ever made. Who do we believe? Also after the WBC ordered the fight as a final eliminator last year, why did it never go to a purse bid as per usual. If Ruiz was really asking for $25 mill or 50/50 then Wilder as the number 1 ranked fighter gets the lions share and it would of exposed Ruiz if he pulled out for not accepting the smaller purse split. But instead it never went to purse splits.
Fury asked, AJ said yes. Then..... https://www.espn.com/boxing/story/_...on-fury-call-battle-britain-world-title-fight You and I have been through the AJ/Fury stuff already. You are an unabashed AJ hater. You realize that makes what you say rather dubious and highly biased. But all that is moot until AFTER Fury v Usyk. And BTW, Wilder did duck Aj years ago. Wilder even said so in an interview. Took less money than offered from AJ to fight Fury. If it quacks...
Why should he fight aj now ? That was after he lost the Usyk rematch Another pointless debate. You're an aj fan. You'll never learn
What makes you a Fury apologist is cherry picking half-truths. Even though the arbitration thing happened: 1) Fury lied through his teeth about the Joshua fight being a certainty. Don't forget that Bob Arum is a lawyer by profession. Do you honestly believe Arum didn't know months before the actual verdict that the arbitration thing will give Wilder the match and hence Joshua-Fury wouldn't be happening? If you believe that, I have a beautiful seafront property in Las Vegas to sell you. Just 24 hours before it was announced that Wilder had won the arbitration, Fury blabbered about the Joshua fight being signed, sealed and delivered. 2) Why cherry-picking instances? In February 2019, Fury signed a deal with ESPN. That meant he was headed down the Wilder route as Joshua was signed with DAZN hence from that point on, Joshua-Fury was not going to happen. Joshua and Hearn kept chasing Fury all through 2018. And what did Fury do? Signed with ESPN to fight with nobodies for peanuts. Why? Joshua was the unbeaten unified champion and the biggest draw in HW boxing by a country mile = biggest payday for Fury. Fury still didn't go for it, despite Hearn and Joshua had been wanting the fight to happen for ages. Can you answer me why Fury signed with ESPN instead of going for the Joshua bout? How was this not a duck? No Fury apologist have ever been able to answer this very simple question to date. Perhaps you can give it a go. Fury was mentioned because you called one of the very few HW champions of recent memory who never ducked anyone and I found it absolutely hypocritical in light of your being a well-known Fury apologist.
