Its no secret that AJ is far more skilled as a boxer than Wilder and is the more complete fighter.

Wilder was hilariously sloppy in the AMS whereas Joshua fought with skill and technical prowess

Ortiz is supposed to be this slick cuban operator...and yet he looked so amateurish against Wilder

Povetkin was fighting a boxer in Joshua who is a massive guy with power who can actually box properly

    Big difference

Ortizdid not look amateurish against Wilder. He almost had him out of there in the first fight and was unfairly behind on the cards before gassing and was miles up in the 2nd fight before a moments loss of concentration where he sat in the pocket for too long where Wilder pounced which was what Wilder was waiting for all fight. Wilder also did a good job lowering Ortiz's lead hand throughout the fight to create the opening which he doesn't get enough credit for.

Yeah Wilder can look ugly at times we all know that but he does possess good ring craft which he gets no credit for and it gets somewhat overshadowed by his KO power.

Ok your argument is based off of Eddie Hears voids what you are saying big time. Everybody except for u knows Hearn is a bigger liar than Bob Arum lol. Trust and believe Ortiz was never offered a fight with Whyte. Chrisora is not a bigger name than Ortiz in America, maybe over in his country. That's also a lie. Ortiz had plenty of time to prepare for Wilder. Ortiz was actually first contacted about being a replacement for Miller on April 19, and given until April 23 to accept the fight. That's literally only 6 weeks to June 1, in which the fight was scheduled. However, after doing so research on this topic. Ortiz actually wanted the fight and didn't care about the short time. Ortiz manager messed it up by asking for more money than originally offered. Ortiz went and told his manager he don't want more money, he just want the title shot, but missed the deadline, and Ruiz got the fight. SO Ortiz wanted all the smoke, but manager dropped the ball on the deal.

He was a lot sharper v AJ and his jabs to the body are really solid.

My point being is Povetkin has a much stronger resume than Ortiz. I dont even see how it could be debatable.

You mean Povetkin showed traces of a drug that had only been added ban list a couple of months prior. Wilder cancelled the fight out as soon as he could. Povetkin sued Wilder and won $4.3m for damages of cancelling the fight.

Povetkin never was paid 4.3 million and he ducked Wilder a second time by pissing dirty for the eliminator against Stiverne.
