Luis Ortiz stops Andy Ruiz like Joshua should've done at MSG. Andy doesn't punch like Wilder. And Andy will be right in front of Luis. Good matchup for Luis.
You get it wrong. Hunter mom have Povetkin winning 7-5 and even she see the KD, referee didn`t ... Povetkin won that fight.
Ruiz should retire in my view. Made his money and had his 15 minutes. Ortiz could be his last outing.
Ruiz will never fight another Matchroom fighter so long as he remains with Haymon. Al only let him take the first AJ fight due his lack of value at the time. Different ball game now. Won't happen again.
Considering the Joshua loss, the weight in the rematch and change of trainer I figured he'd fight a Joey dawejko type I think arguing about him fighting ortiz and not whyte is silly. This is an interesting bounce back fight and a do or die for both men Personally I'd like to see whyte in vs Joshua again, Miller or kownacki at Barclay to set up a wilder match or usyk
To become a bigger draw in the east coast market where wilder fights. A fight with whyte and kownacki in Barclay would be great
Eh. I don't know how enthused I am about that switch-up. Ortiz is/was very good, but his career is over at this age, and he's going become truly "old" overnight one of these days. A win over Ortiz won't necessarily mean that much to me -- it would be too hard to determine whether the determining factor was age or skill. Ruiz losing to Ortiz... Well, Ortiz would still have to retire extremely soon and he just had his title shot. Therefore, it's a bit disappointing as we're effectively losing two top boxers: both Ortiz and Ruiz. On the other hand -- even if the impact on the future of the division is of questionable value -- the fight itself might still be pretty fun to watch.
