Ruiz beat a unbeaten AJ and made him QUIT USYK didn't stop or did squad to AJ just beat him by decision nothing sepecial compared to what Ruiz did , but hey this is esb Lmfao
I can understand that perspective, but the Ruiz win largely hinged on one punch that AJ never recovered from. Usyk got the better of AJ over 12 rds. So Usyk's win for me.
Ruiz did not make AJ quit, and beat a clearly worse verison who was well above his best weight and Ruiz still got dropped and completely fluked landing the shot to the temple. Usyk picked him apart and utterly dissected a version of Joshua who was in amazing shape and would've stopped him with the remaining eight seconds he was entitled to. Usyk's performance was far more special than Ruiz's, and there's the small matter of one being a good 45lbs heavier than the other.
Did he not? It looked clear as day to me and the vast majority of people that Joshua gave up when the bout was stopped. Didn't Joshua's opponent, who had him down four times, play a part in that? Joshua beat W. Klitschko at a heavier weight. You sound salty as ****, as usual.
You're so full of ****. AJ was in great shape for Ruiz, but got drilled. And Ruiz showed the fortitude to not let Joshua back in the fight, causing him to quit.
I agree Ruiz has the better win of the two, but so what? It's not worth arguing about. Clearly very close and both were rightly credited for destroying one of the world's better heavyweights. Move on, I say.
I was in the crowd for that fight. In the round previous to the last, Ruiz murdered Joshua to the body and Joshua looked like he didn't want to fight anymore. He just backed off and stopped throwing punches. Then in the last round, Joshua tried to make one last stand to see if he could hurt Ruiz bc he didn't have it in him to keep circling. It failed and he chose the exit.
Shut up you *****. I never said he was in bad shape, I said he was well above his best weight and was in better shape for Usyk. Having seven pounds extra of what's clearly pure muscle, is not a good thing for a boxer. Especially not one with stamina issues to begin with. He was clearly quicker, and had better stamina for Usyk. Joshua didn't quit. He was stopped. Key difference.
You can't spin this one off some bull**** narrative. Joshua was undefeated and had a kind of confidence that he hasn't shown since Ruiz beat it out of him. And he quit. That's why he walked away from the ref and then refused to put he gloves up.
I don't think either are particularly special wins, because Joshua isn't particularly special. Both were fights in which Joshua under-performed in quite obvious ways. Ruiz being made out to be some kind of giant slayer is as misguided as claiming Usyk put on a master class.
