Just saw that Ruiz is taking on the dangerous (16-6) Turkish Ozcan Cetinkaya. The fact that the guy has "can" in his name says enough. Is this the best that Jawny can do? A "D" level club fighter??

Pretty sad that the WBA mandatory challenger can't take a bigger threat, especially after all his open-letters and interviews calling out the other potential title challengers. If this guy fought as hard in the ring as he does in the courtrooms demanding title shots, he could have been a good fighter.

    Just go away Ruiz!

Only way I'll watch Ruiz is if it's against Tua.

I'd like to see a determined Ruiz face one of the folk in your avatar. :D

Exactly, that would be a great event, and I reckon Tua would take it, even at the short notice, but maybe it should be a main event.

That's awesome. Then we can look forward to another "fight of the year candidate" when Ruiz will challenge the winner of Haye - Valuev.

The only way that will happen is if ruiz gets his mandatory shot at the valuev haye winner and somehow wins but even then i dont think he would want any peace of the Klitschkos

That's not actually true, that's just what it feels like after watching three rounds of one of his fights....

damn, ruiz's style is so freaking boring, grabbing and pushing.
is there a way to make him fight some prospects to get him out of the way?
im sure povetkin, solis, haye, johnson, arreola will just send him to retirement.
does he always have to fight a champion?will he always be a contender?

if ruiz was as bad as everyone said, he would be gone by now, he may not be pretty but the guy can fight

Don King will never put Jawny in the ring with a Klitschko.

His little "I will fight any (ANY!) American contender" program didn't last too long... just long enough for Johnson to call him on it.

I can't wait to hear Haye praising him as a legitimate opponent and one of the best HW's of the past 10 yrs. Or does Haye rip his credibility to shreds? Tough call.
