Chagaev already beat Ruiz & Valuev. That's why a Klitschko vs. Chagaev fight would be for the Ring title.

Well said but this is ESB and these are armchair fans and sadly this guy who has the best current resume of all active fighters (barring holyfield is u consider him active) will never get any respect.

Not unless he was allowed to hold excessively or fake low blows. That's pretty much how he "won" all his fights above the tomato can level.

I agree....... I believe that Ruiz is willing to fight on two weeks notice...... Ruiz stays in shape pretty much year 'round.... Give him 500k, he'll fight Klit.....

I'm sure Wlad would cooperate with the holding part:lol:

****, talk about a sleeper man.

Let me get this straight then, Ronald Regan is your fav. pres. and John Ruiz is your fav. fighter.

What horse****. Ruiz cheated his opponents AND the fans. He deserves ALL the criticism he gets - and MORE. Without King to get him rated and grease the way for his illegal tactics, he's just another journeyman.

Well, it might actually be the best way to get rid of Ruiz. I recall a recent thread on this subject.

Ruiz knows how to get the job done. The Quietman is the best substitute.

Well said. It's funny how the WALDO fans all bang on about how WALDO came back from his losses but Ruiz suffered one of the most humiliating KO's I've ever seen at HW and became a champion. He always shows up in shape and ready to fight and whilst I wouldn't argue the case for him being anything special I'll always defend the guy for his determination, heart and professionalism.

Just coming back from the nightmare of being destroyed by David Tua is enough to get my respect. A lot of guys would have been no good anymore, or would have had nightmares about that fight and would have had it affect their confidence and be terminally gunshy, but Ruiz has kept on coming back. You have to admire him for that.

Povetkin or Chagaev. Either fight the mandatory or get The Ring Belt.
Picking up The Ring Belt will go a long way to earning credibility.
