Can see both sides of it. Ruiz shouldn’t be getting 10% of the pie, however, that pie is massive due to the pulling power of Joshua. He signed the contract although let’s face it, he would have signed his left tezzer away for the opportunity and Hearn took full advantage. Credit to Hearn, he’s a greedy snake but a snake you’d want on your side when it comes to contracts.

Just goes to show where the leverage is, when the guy has all the belts. The bodybuilder Joshua will have his trousers pulled down now. Compliments of Al Haymon and the bomb squad. Expecting those shiny belts to be broken up. A Ruiz Wilder unification fight is just around the corner.Anthony will regret not taking the blob seriously. Because there's something fishy going on in the back ground.

As I said yesterday, the problem for me is that promoters are allowed create these one-sided ridiculous contracts. A simple stipulation stating that a champion deserves at least 30/40% in a rematch should be agreed by the governing bodies.

By all means, give a contender 10% in the first fight if he ain't worth much more. But the same rules should not apply in the rematch. Ruiz is champion and deserves a significant slice of the pie. He's created this lucrative rematch. Say for example this was his last fight due to injury, has he got what he deserves? Certainly not in 10%.

I would make it 60/40 in favour of the new champ as worst case scenario

The answer to that is don’t sign up for it then.
He’s getting more than Fury and Wilder got for facing each other, he’s hardly getting a pittance.

The answer is that Joshua shouldn't have lost all his all belts then.

People who get rich don't get there from rolling over and saying yes to everything. Ruiz is doing exactly what needs and should be done to make himself successful. And for that he should be applauded.

Damn, MRFC are realllllly pissed off and salty today that Eddie is getting his pants pulled down publically.

They ain't doing ****. They'd have done it by now otherwise as Brentwood is desperate to get that fan-money milk train otherwise known as Anthony Joshua a-rolling again.

Eddie will either pay up some silly amount that will keep Ruiz's great great great grandkids in caviar or else drag this on till' the belts get scattered and Joshua still doesn't have all four.

I got news for you boys...

Joshua didn’t sign up to lose his belts though did he? That happened in the ring. If Ruiz wasn’t happy with the rematch payment, why did he sign for that amount? Surely he and Al haymon, the bloke that went to Harvard and is so clever, knew how big the rematch would be if Ruiz won? Doesn’t sound too clever on their part.

Yes because losing in HW boxing is such a rare occurrence isn't it. Oh hang on. Eddie didn't foresee that eventuality did he, lest he'd be having the rematch in the UK which is he isn't.

You don't know **** about what he did or didn't sign up for. All you know, like everyone else, is that it's not in the UK and certainly isn't on "Hearns Terms". However much that pisses you off.

Not men of their words, cowards. Ruiz begged for the fight and is now acting like a diva.

If Ruiz and his team weren’t so stupid to take such a low fee for a fight then this wouldn’t be happpening.

All we know at the moment is that Haymon's stable has all the straps. Rematch contracts are often not worth much, as they can't be enforced. Wilder had a rematch clause against Fury and we're 9 months on from the first bout and no one is certain when the 2nd bout takes place. Wallin, Ortiz then whatever else nonsense and it'll be 16 months, 18 months or 2 years for those 2, so I'm not hanging my hat on anything with AJ and Andy.

So clever he had Ruiz sign up to the biggest fight in boxing (the rematch) for 9 million dollars?

Oh god, this smacks of the "muh missed 50 million payday" gate.

Friendly reminder that Joshua had his head bounced around the ring not 3 months ago by a bloke who looks like he should be a regular in the pub darts team. The ride is over big man. PBC are in control now.

He's DEFINITELY going to get paid more. Either that or there won't be a fight and the belts will get scattered to anywhere but the UK, as Hearn well knows.
