It being called a KD also gave Ortiz lots of extra time to recover. The least we could do is count the KD, otherwise that long break was plain illegal.

In the moment I thought that was Ortiz basically taking a knee to further recover, I don't think he was upset to go down again. I haven't rewatched though.

Well that should answer your question. Wilder had to land some pretty heavy shots to knock him down when they fought, his chin and his legs appear to be shot.

There's no rule but a strong precedent. It's not like Ortiz had a great round besides the real KD and bogus KD.

You see it a lot but I suspect it's most often a judge just forgetting the second KD. Sometimes it's protection.

The second knock down never happened I replayed it few times the other 2 hard shots to the side of the head yes the 12 round Ortiz beat the sxxx out of Ruiz to me a close fight I see no reason for Ortiz to quit boxing round of applause for both men.

Yeah it's does- the only 3 people that he has fought that carry half decent power he has been dropped by. Never really any good to begin with it seems.

Fairly clear win for tubby for me. 3 kd's and was the aggressor most of the time.

I didn't score it but I thought Ruiz winning was in large part due to the KD's. That's a helluva hole to have to dig out of, you basically have to win every other round. Ruiz looked very bad, like horrible. And Ortiz''s cranium was broken by Wilder, he cannot take temple shots anymore

I definitely agree that this was a 10-8 round. Because Ortiz came back and hurt Ruiz with some big shots late in the round.

I scored the round 10-8 and had the fight a draw. I have no issue with the judge scoring it 113-112 for Ruiz. The verdicts of the other 2 judges seemed a bit wide though.

Pretty easy actually Ruiz was lackluster with no workrate for the majority of the fight, and allowed Ortiz to dictate the action from the outside, i didn't see Ruiz win anymore than 4 rounds.

It has to be "effective aggression" walking forward and not throwing punches is not effective aggression, which is what Ruiz did for large portions in the fight.
