If these two met, how do you think the fight would play out?

Need to see how Ortiz looks at weekend. I hope if he has Wilder in big trouble again he can close the show.

Ortiz would look good and pot shot Ruiz from distance and out point him. This is really bc of Ruiz slower feet and Ortiz ability to hit to the body while moving with long jabs. Ortiz would dictate the tempo and how that fights fought. The only way Ruiz wins is if Ortiz gasses ,you have to be in range of Ruiz for him to counter and at 6'0 tall Ortiz is going to be hard to find, he's not just going to stand there and he will use that active defense to avoid getting hurt. .

Its definatley not a mismatch id give Ortiz a 70 % chance there .This is of course if Ortiz hasn't really turned 50 on performance in his next fight in win or lose we should be able to tell.

lets not confuse and twist this thread, Ruiz is a harder match for AJ on height aspect and Ortiz is easier for AJ on the southpaw aspect. Ortiz presents more problems for wilder then Ruiz would ,hes longer and has more choices at different ranges . This doesn't mean Ruiz defeats Ortiz if Wilder does.

Ortiz would hold an edge over Ruiz despite him defeating Joshua once, if he can do it twice though ? Would this really change the match between them ? That really depends how Ortiz looks bc he's older ,Ruiz can still improve and will need to if he has any chance of winning in that rematch.

Wilder will avoid AJ bc that's a nightmare for him.and made that known already AGAIN as he isn't interested in undisputed unless its Ruiz.

Based on their last fight Ruiz wins comfortably enough but let’s wait and see how Ortiz looks on Saturday. He hasn’t looked that good in a long time but looks in great nick

Trouble is, I assume there's a rematch clause for Ortiz in the Wilder fight if he beats Wilder. So any fight against Ruiz would be a while off, it it were to happen.

Ruiz is faster in and out, hand speed. Huge edge in stamina and durability.

Ruiz Jr wins via stoppage in rounds 9-12

    Ortiz gasses out

We will see how Ortiz looks on Saturday. I think he will be in the best shape of his life, judging by the latest photos of him. It will be funny if Ortiz and Ruiz both win and face each other next.

Actually, the best case scenario in my mind. Then the winner can fight Manual Charr to decide who is the one true champion.

The bad thing is IF Wilder loses, Ortiz will be busted for PEDs and it will be turned out as a NO Contest...

Ortiz is limited. If Wilder is stopped he will have given him the chance by being in his range. It is up to Wilder to be smarter in this fight. Hurt Ortiz and stop him and not be in his range.
