Man people are so damn impressionable. Ruiz was floored with the first hard punch Joshua landed. He took the follow up well but ****s sake how many fighters, even glassed chin ones, can take some good shots? A lot. If he doesn't get knocked out is because he managed to avoid enough shots or his offense was better than Joshua's. But to think that it's because he can take everything Joshua has is ridiculous. The first fight didn't indicate that.

It was his ability to take the follow up shot from Joshua after the knockdown which was impressive. It didnt even stun him.

I tend to agree, and I think it's very probable that tomorrow we're all talking about how Ruiz was just some one-hit wonder, who only won be cause AJ wasn't prepared, and that Andy didn't train hard enough in the rematch after becoming such a celebrity and all that.

I mean isn't that the safest bet, to go with AJ in the rematch to right the wrong and reclaim his throne? Now we're gonna see a 100% focused AJ who will be able to dispatch of the blob this time around and do the kind of things most expected him to do to Ruiz the first time around but didn't.

But this is boxing, and what we expect to happen doesn't always happen. Ruiz doesn't want this dreamride to end. We may just be in for a real thriller, a Ruiz who thinks lightning can strike twice, who refuses to be denied, vs an AJ who wants to prove that he isn't a quitter and is now fully prepared for Ruiz. This could turn into a real entertaining scrap in the rainy desert, a fight that is totally unpredictable. But I agree, conventional wisdom has to favor AJ here. He can't lose to Andy AGAIN can he?

    Joshua may want to lose...

    to avoid Beyoncé LaKiesha Wilder!

even though he said he's not fighting Wilder even if he wins anyways!

Wilder says he wants Ruiz to destroy Joshua again so he can KO Ruiz!

I think I want to see Ruiz vs Wilder more than Joshua Wilder lol. That would just be fun to watch.

Hes coming after AJ for the early KO

Hes faster, and has a 3 stone differential to really pack a whollop to Joshuas light frame

I think he will get it

All he needs to do is buzz AJ once and thats it
