Was just reading through the rules of boxinbg on boxrec and found this rule that i never knew existed. I'm sure that when Benn got knocked out of the ring by Mclellan the Commentators where saying he nearly lost cos he got in at the count of 9.

If a boxer is knocked out of the ring, he gets a count of 20 to get back in and on his feet. He cannot be assisted.

    yea thats pretty common knowledge.

I think i saw it happen in a Rahman fight where he knocked the guy out of the ring.

also I dont remeber if this applied in the Casamayor-Katsidis fight....

I thought it was bizarre when Lyahovich was knocked out of the ring by Briggs and was pinned between a table and the ring. No one was allowed to help him and he eventually was counted out. He may have been in no shape to continue, but someone should've been allowed to unpin him.

I remember when Maskev knocked Rahmen out of the ring. He fell over a table and hit his head on the ground. He was out cold and a mini riot ensued.

  6. Haha this is one of the rules that carried over to pro wrestling. I haven't watched it in 15 years but i remember the fake ref constantly doing 20 counts while wrestlers and "managers" tried to keep the guy OUT of the ring before 20.
