Great fighter, who sadly died way too young. Didn't know about that SD fight with Cowdell... WTF was that judge thinking?!
Yeah, that was a head-scratcher for me. I didn't think it was particularly close at all. The one fight I did think was fascinatingly close was the one with Pat Ford.
I remember as a youngster watching Sanchez fight Little Red Lopez, one of my favorite fighters. He so thoroughly dismantled Lopez I knew I was witnessing the advent of something groundbreaking. Salvador was a joy to watch because he was incredibly talented in so many ways: smooth as silk, tough as nails, 15 round stamina, with savvy ring intelligence.
He was a complete fighter through and through.

I had it much wider than that against Cowdell. The Ford fight was the one I scored razor close when watching all of them recently. Well, all of the championship ones at least.
