I do wonder about the likelihood of this being competitive enough to warrant a rematch. I tend to think it would be at least fairly competitive for a decent stretch of rounds.

It's obvious that Cotto will give up his title rather than fight Golovkin, "if" he gets by Alvarez....................

Agree, surprised he didn't see it coming. Shame Kellerman didn't probe the whole 'if you're not a middleweight then stop hogging a title at catchweights' notion though

Yeah, Kellerman isn't as sharp as Larry when it comes to being quick on his feet, and calling fighters out when they make claims that deserve obvious follow-ups. Merchant was very good at doing that, and while I think Max has improved over the years somewhat, both in his interviews and his commentating, he still falls well short of the mark established by Merchant.

I'd still prefer seeing the Cotto rematch over Khan myself.

I still find it baffling every time someone says this.

    Agreed.

But deserve's got nothing to do with it (and rarely does in boxing, unfortunately).

Nice vid Rummy, can't disagree with any of that.:good

Though you are still mispronouncing his name, its - "hhwer-N'ard-eeee zzur-lob-kween". ;)

Cotto's face was priceless, surely he knew they would ask about GGG? He should have had a prepared statement that would brush past it without being too inflammatory.

Still this BS re: cashing out is infuriating, for once I wish the WBC would enforce the damn mandatory. Not with Canelo waiting in the wings they won't though.

And where is this statement from Froch about his future?

it's either Kennedy Gloveking, Triple G(od) or the Lord of the Goodboys. No buts, no excuses like you didn't know, that's who he is!

It's like all them different people in different parts of the world arguing what to call their god, or how to pronounce it. And I'm the only one who knows for sure, because if everyone has it differently they can't all be right, so they must all be wrong instead. So lucky for all of you there's me bringing light in the darkness. :bart

Now way will Cotto get into a ring with Golovkin, he would have zero chance. He will give up the title rather than fight Golovkin. I think Alvarez will be Cotto, looks as if that is the one Cotto will fight next, but Golovkin will get the winner of that fight, knock out either one..............Golovkin is the mandatory and will have to be paid step aside money.........................I would like to see Void fight Lara, I think Lara would beat Void, but Void has his judges, referee, boxing commission and can't lose a decision in Vegas...............so.............Golovkin said he would come down to 154 and fight Void....................don't know how he would lose that much weight, but he would knock Void out, Void knows it and will not take that fight..............probably will fight Khan? Khan is faster than Void, hits harder, but his chin is suspect...............although Void can't punch hard, so............Why is beating Geale, after Cotto making him come down to 157, therefore making his weak, such a good win, Golovkin beat Geale at 160, knocked him down in the 2nd round and stopped him in the 3rd. Geale's legs were gone, but when Geale quit in the 4th round against Cotto, his legs were OK................

Ward would beat Genady easily. Bigger man.
