    UNIFIED RULES OF BOXING

    A. Intentional fouls.

    2. If an intentional foul causes an injury and the bout is allowed to continue, the referee shall notify the authorities and deduct two (2) points from the boxer who caused the foul. Point deductions for intentional fouls will be mandatory.

Jones threw a two punch combo wasn't even close to GGG or what Abraham did had to stop the video because it was such an asinine comparison. :rofl

If Lemieux was standing normally, Golovkins' punch would have landed below the ****. It actually probably would have been a miss, splitting between his legs. 9G walked into it, too. So it was a clear foul.

But once again, it doesn't matter.

If Lemieux couldn't have continued: DQ. But Lemieux did continue, so: no DQ.

Should have been a point deducted but just chalk it up to bad reffing, which we see almost every fight.

I think GGG was trying to get a straight right hand to the body.

How would it of been a DQ if Lemieux couldn't continue when it was an accidental foul. If he couldn't continue it would have been a TKO right?

Golovkin punched Lemieux in the face while Lemeiux was down. At that moment, Lemieux's head was approximately knee/thigh level... That's a foul.

    Whoever said "accidental?"

A bunch of sequences that led to DQ's are accidental but they're still DQ's.

Some KO's are accidental but guess what? Still were KO's.

For the sake of full disclosure:
    ----------

    B. Accidental fouls.

    2. If an accidental foul causes an injury severe enough for the referee to stop the bout after four (4) rounds have occurred, the bout will result in a TECHNICAL DECISION awarded to the boxer who is ahead on the score cards at the time the bout is stopped.

Eh, it's not an accidental foul? How is this "full disclosure"?

That was for the guy who quoted me citing an accidental foul resulting in a TKO.

My quote of the ABC Unified Rules shows it would have been a technical decision.

What is wrong and bothers you about what I posted?

Whether it's common, or not, I think a two point deduction would have been the most appropriate punishment for this accidental foul. A DQ is too harsh considering he was completely dominating the fight, and no deduction is too soft. So should it be one point or two. Considering the penalty to RJJ (who landed two punches, not one) I think two sends the right message to boxers about how serious this is, without it screwing up your whole legacy over what amounts to an accident. We can see it coming cause we have video, but in real life, it's a split second that this is taking place.

If Lemieux couldn't have continued than I think the right call would be a DQ. No way should something like this go to the cards, otherwise you're inadvertently rewarding the perpetrator.

Actually I didn't, I stopped couple of seconds before that and didn't watched the credits. I didn't expected a movie like ending.
You don't need to bother with me, man. But I do appreciate the gesture. Thanks.

i think if david would have started to lay on ground and whine he would have won by DQ and we would now talk about how good was davids acting.
