Rumsfeld, I've still not received my Mushroom DVD or whatever it was called. Also, where is the lounge?
Do you still want a copy?
Good video Rummy. Also bit of a nitpick, but O'neil Bell was the last undisputed cruiserweight champion not Evander.
I guess the Bell situation depends on when you consider the WBO to have transitioned into a "major" world title. For me, I always think of that as sort of corresponding with DLH vs Hopkins - although I suppose that's up for debate. So while the WBO definitely was not considered a major world title when Holyfield was a cruiserweight, I kind of feel it was by the time Bell fought Mormeck.
Oh yeah I forgot about the WBO situation back in the day.
Rummy what are your thoughts about Garcia vs Porter? Because it got announced for september 8th.
By that time it was for sure. The final transition must have been somewhere between 2001 and 2003 when the vast majority of the big names, promoters and networks started to take the belt seriously.
Oh wow! That seems like a real toss-up for me. I think Garcia has the edge in talent, but Porter might be a bit mentally tougher. Good match-up. Not sure who will win.
Been watching a lot of Rummy's Corner lately... Keep up the good work, Rumsfeld!
Nice breakdown Rummy, as I agree with pretty much everything you said here.
