Rumor: Fedor vs barnett cancelled

Maybe Mike C, or Mike W, or whatever Mike's name is, will get his dream of Fedor vs Rogers to come true.

I really hate that we may never get to see Fedor vs Barnett. Fedor vs. Belfort may be fun, and Fedor vs Lashley is also interesting; but neither can come close to matching the anticipation of what was suppose to have been.

Lesnar should get Affliction to sneak him a couple million to show up as a spectator, and heckle Fedor. Tell Fedor to scoff at Lesnar, and get a confrontation going. Tell everyone close to the fighters not to break it up, and let the two of them really go at it. Then Affliction can stamp out the footage on all the video sites, like youtube, UFC style; and charge a small viewing fee on their own site...

Its odd to think Mir is back in the mix. I remember when he got beat up in his come back trail against Vera and Cruz both of whom humiliated him thoroughly. I thought he was finished. Then he pulls out a hail mary vs Brock beats on a shot to **** Nog and everyone thought he was back. Not me. :nono

 

Monson was supposed to fight Fedor a while back. Not sure he's available on a 11 days notice. Lashley has no business in the ring with Fedor and frankly neither does Belfort. Considering he just dropped to 185 this is a stupid move on his part in my opinion.

 

damn this suck... anyways my boy vitor is too small for fedor but do have good striking and pretty good bjj.

 

I wouldnt mind seeing Monson in there with Fedor. Again, not sure if he takes this fight short notice but he should because he wouldnt get an opportunity like this again.

I just want to see someone with a pulse fight Fedor.

 

I think Vitor is a decent fight considering the short notice because he has been in training makes it a bit better but the fact that he was training for mw certainly takes away from it.

 

I think Franks back and better then ever quite honestly. You just look at his striking technique and its much better then it was in say 2004 when he became UFC Champion. His Jiu-Jitsu is still very strong and he appears to be in the best condition he has ever been in. When he came back vs Cruz his leg the same one that had screws holding it in place buckled early on by just moving around, he had no place being back yet. Franks a good fighter just not elite never has and probablly never will be hell I dont consider Brock elite either. Elite Heavyweights is like prime Nog and Cro Cop or Barnett and Fedor now. I love Randy but he was never elite Heavy IMO at 205 for sure but you could never say oh Randy Couture is the 1st or 2nd best Heavyweight in the world.

 

josh barnett is a dumb ass....he messed up the biggest fight of his career to date,its hard to believe that someone could be so stupid,but it will be interesting to see who replaces him though,im guessing this will be the down fall(last show) for affliction

 

I think Randy was better at the higher weight. Although he is/was a relatively small heavy and always struggled with the much bigger heavies as he simply never had the dimensions to bridge the gap in size.

 

How does Carwin and Cain get so highly regarded for accomplishing so little?

And how does Mir become so highly regarded for pulling a sub out of his ass against a 1-0 Lesnar, than beating up on a half blind, staph infected, old, past his prime, shot, washed up Noguiera? And how did Mir get that interim title shot with Noguieria for beating up on Dan Christison, Antoni Hardonk who are mid-low level fighters while losing to Pe De Pano and Brandon Vera who is losing to fighters like Keith Jardine at LHW and cant even finish a fighter like Reese Andy?

The entire HW division in MMA is terrible but the UFC definitely has a terrible HW division.
