RUMOR: GGG to face Callum Smith for super WBA title

I will have to respectfully disagree CST, he's a very good fighter... I think Groves was fighting very hard just to stay in that fight & Smith was coasting & waiting for the right time to turn it up. No ones walked through him like that IMO Losing rounds to Groves is nothing to he ashamed of, Froch, Degale & Jack all did! Groves started the better but you could tell Callum was growing into it & what was coming was inevitable.... Plus that would have been a great coming of age fight for Smith. I don't really get why u don't like him, he's actually a very good fighter all round, I'm a big fan. But you're entitled to like who u like as we all are. I'd just encourage u to be a bit more open minded about him.. Watch the fight again! He was impressive.. I don't see Ramirez etc beating him..

 

Smith right now would beat Charlo... Most of Charlos best opponents are former LMWs.

Smith has brutal stoppage wins over Groves & Fielding. Who's Charlo beat? His best win is a fading LMW Trout who he pretty much gassed against & was getting outworked in a close one.. Whats he done at MW? Nothing much.. Hes fighting Willie Monroe next!

Ring champ Smith is a bigger challenge for GGG than non champ Charlo considering Charlo only has 3 fights at 160 & his best win is Jorge Heiland!!

Smith is a bigger & more proven fighter at his weight than Charlo is.

 

Respectfully Canelo hadn't even cleaned out 154, and had done absolutely Jack @ 160
Canelo was a cherry pick gone wrong x2 (but the money was worth it!!!)
He should have unified with BJS, BJS was his greatest competitor in terms of 160 accomplishments.
BJS was a hard fight for little reward, BJS has no fans to humiliate GGG into fighting him.

Fighting the money fight against a smaller guy sounds like cowardice to me!!!

Fighting a much, much bigger, fresher and hungrier guy after all of this cherry picking and soft touches sounds like a death wish!!!!

Slap me upside the head now, I would be shocked if this guy fights Smith next, it logically makes no sense.
GGG has never had the cajones to do something like this, he doesn't have the cajones!!

He dared the dwarf to fight him toe to toe and when he did GGG started running.

Canelo might be short but he's a perfectly capable MW.
