I have no problems with this. If holyfield happens to win this, then it further shows how crappy the division is.

Don't know if Holyfield does get a shot at the winner but it wouldn't be surprising at all. Holyfiled is still a big name and the winner will make a nice payday for an easy first defense. Holyfield has little to no chance of beating the winner of Povetkin-Chagaev so I wouldn't worry about a future Holyfield-Klitschko unification fight.

After, if, Holyfield gets a shot I'd expect to see Rahman, Valuev or some other old/shot fighter getting a shot as well. The winner of this fight is the top contender outside of Vitali and I really hope he doesn't sit on his title and milk it for more than one or two defesnes. There are a lot of good opponents that would make for nice matches with either Povetkin or Chagaev. Let them defend against Haye, Chambers, Adamek, Helenius, Boystov, etc-all good and even matches.

he got robbed against SNV. dont think he deserves a shot at the title, no freakin way. WBA is the worst, WBC is a close second

Hell, might as well. Outside the Klitschkos it's all a pretty worthless run-around anyway, so what difference will this make? Go Holy.

I'm not longer afraid he'll get his brains beaten in like I used to (although accumulative effect is another matter), he can defend himself and still fight well in small spurts.

And neither Chagaev nor Povetkin should fill him or most guys around with abject fear either.

Still should've retired years ago, but hey, it's just another log on the fire at this point.

It's not that odd. About 10 or 11 years after Patterson lost his world title, he is back fighting Ali in 72. Just about 9 years ago Holyfield lost the WBA title to Ruiz...
