Because of Haye of course. Holyfield wasn't keeping out of range and using lateral movement the way Haye did.

Valuev landed more shots on Holyfield than Haye but I recall at times thinking "wtf is he doing?", he had plenty more opportunities that he just didn't take.

He took it easy against Holyfield (which could have cost him), he tried against Haye but just couldn't catch him, completely different fights and incomparable imo.

The thing with Holyfield & Sauerland is that the Valuev - Holyfield fight did good ratings on German TV -- even though the fight was a terrible snoozefest. I bet Holyfield is a relatively cheap opponent and he'd do good ratings for Sauerland vs. Povetkin, should he win tomorrow.

Plus Holyfield at what seems like 67 years old is way a relatively beatable opponent than a prime Wlad for Povetkin.

All in all Sauerland are doing what they've always been doing. Carefully hand-selecting low-risk opponents and sell them as world-class events. The only time they abandoned this strategy was with Abraham and the S6 and that backfired instantly. Now they appear to be back to their old ways.
