Tonight the UFC President was in Ireland accepting an award at Trinity College in Dublin. He even told everyone on Twitter that he was buying the pints after the ceremony:

On my way to Ireland!!! Land minday and then Trinity College Dublin on Tues. I'm buying PINTS after the ceremony.

    read official Twitter...

According to member of the Twitter-verse who lives in Ireland and was bought a pint by Dana White, the President revealed two heavyweight matchups in the works. The first a heavyweight title fight between Cain Velasquez and challenger Antonio Silva who previously lost to the champion. And the second being two high profile heavyweights coming off loses, Junior Dos Santos and Alistair Overeem.

    Lol. I guess.

But if Struve beats Hunt he's active enough to be ready by the end of May... Just saying.

Struve wouldn't be worthy, and has Big Nog or Werdum to go through first. He's been knocked silly by JDS, but even further down the ladder. Bigfoot is coming off a huge upset, and never got a chance to display his skills against Brown Pride so I'm more than intrigued as to how a rematch would turn out.

This is the best choice, Brown Pride had to go through someone for another shot and JDS and Reem have a ton of beef between them. Bigfoot is the only man to really put an ass whooping on Fedor, and he is still a threat to Brown Pride. Isn't UFC 160 supposed to be in NYC? This is just awesome.

Struve still needs a few more fights for his own sake, and I think he has that kinda' potential as well.

That sounds a great double header. Okay Big Foot has been wasted by Cormier and pulped by Velasquez, but in his last two fights he's looked a beast.

Would I prefer Werdum get the shot if he beats Nog? I think he deserves it already. But if he's already booked, this isn't a bad fight, they can sell it and they do actually want Cain to hold onto his belt for the foreseeable future let's not forget.

Obviously Werdum is the most worthy ESPECIALLY if he beats Noguiera. But they don't fight until June. Bigfoot has earned it though. Just wanted to see Cain Velasquez against someone fresh. And Struve has more momentum than anybody in the division outside of Silva and Velasquez.

And stop with the Brown Pride ****.

Why? If it's offensive then I will surely, but it's who we're talking about. Either way it bothers you so I will stop, and you don't have to explain why as I can figure why.

MMA just paints a messy, but beautiful picture. As soon as you said Bigfoot earned it I just cringed over my previous post. UFC gold is prestigious, but passed around like a damn football. I'd love to see Struve get a shot too (possibly more than anyone if I think about it). But, Bigfoot is more worthy, Werdum is tied up and a non Title Fight just wouldn't be fair.

Bigfoot is technically more worthy, as you stated, so I suppose outside of my personal preference; Silva is the best choice.

It's just that, I can hear the Velasquez haters already. :barf

"Fights weak comp." "Lucky he doesn't have to fight Overeem." "Dana gives him easy fights because he's Mexican, blah blah blah."

Cant wait for Overeem vs Dos Santos if it goes down which i hope it does

  10. Yes! Velasquez destroys Silva again. Overeem comes back in the same shape he was in for Brock and stops JDS in the first round.

Why would he fight Overeem? The Reem just got blasted by the guy Cain almost killed! The biggest threat to Cain is JDS... I also have to mention Daniel Cormier but we all know they wont fight!

I know. But Overeem fans are cut from the same cloth as Lesnar fanboys. Logic and reason doesn't hold any merit with them.
